    From SuperHeroHype again:

Rumors have been flying since McG's departure that Michael Bay would be taking over directing duties on the Superman movie.

Check out what just popped up on Bay's official website today:

Could be a hack, a fluke, or anything, but you never know...

Yeah, I'm not dissapointed. He could churn out a fun Superman movie.

I like how he confirmed it, though....

damn - they got rid of it

the link was to the news section -- his site has a graphic on one side, then text on the other

the graphic was the superman logo, and the text was something along the lines of "it will begin soon" or something like that

    ah well....

Michael Bay is certainly no McG, but I still wish they'd go with a cooler director whos known for making great movies rather than blowing up cars.

And no matter whos directing, the movie is bound to suck ass with the plot they're working from.

I think Michael Bay has a good visual style....but since I haven't seen one of his movies that wasn't Bruckheimer produced perhaps it is Bruckheimer pushing the style of cinematography and not Bay......

He is definitely better then McG though

let's take a moment to examine Michael Bay's directorial efforts.

    Bad Boys II (2003)
    Pearl Harbor (2001)
    Armageddon (1998)
    Rock, The (1996)
    Bad Boys (1995)

okay i do believe my point has been made.
